Animal Science Merit Badge at Eagle Island (2013-11-21)

Cattle, horses, sheep, goats, hogs, poultry, and other domesticated animals are important to people for many reasons. They supply us with food and clothing, we use them for recreational purposes, and they work with and for us.  As scouts we respect their sacrifice and what they do so we can eat a balance food diet.

Tonight Chris took the troop to Eagle Island (http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Eagle%20Island/247/28/27) to understand the process of how we get eggs and the various uses they have.

No egg or scout was damaged in the tour.

As much as I hate eggs on their own learning about them was fun!
