Space Exploration Merit Badge at the Kennedy Space Center (2013-12-05)

Tonight Chris took the troop to the Kennedy Space Center ( to learn about the human space history.

” Space is mysterious. We explore space for many reasons, not least because we don’t know what is out there, it is vast, and humans are full of curiosity. Each time we send explorers into space, we learn something we didn’t know before. We discover a little more of what is there.”

We saw and touched the Saturn Rocket and compared it to the one used for the space shuttle.

We had the opportunity of manning one of the rockets to space and we visited the space station orbiting Earth. A lot of us remembered Neil Armstrong being the first Eagle Scout on the moon surface leaving the first human footprint outside earth.  Afterwards we explored the solar system and we landed back on earth!  As we explored the solar system we clearly heard “Danger Will Robinson! Danger!”
